I am looking forward to frittering away a morning (at least) checking out blogs new and old and ogling the amazing things that people are giving away. Definitely check it out! As for this here blog, I will be giving away a personalized batch of handmade, mostly organic, super smooth body butter made with my favorite nut and vegetable butters as well as jojoba oil and vitamin E. It is very moisturizing and perfect after a cozy winter’s bath.
To win, simply comment on this post and tell me what your three favorite smells are. You can tell me more if you can’t bear to narrow it down to three. I will undoubtedly be unable to replicate your favorite smells, but I’ll use this information to choose the essential oils that go into the body butter, to try and make something that you will like, unique and spectacular individual that you surely are. Feel free to be as specific as you’d like (e.g., laundry that’s been sitting in the sun) or general (smoky, spicy, sweet).
Comments must be received by December 6. Winner will be chosen at random. I will ship to you wherever — international is fine. Just be sure to include your email address when you comment so I can get a hold of you to coordinate the specifics.

Haha, I’m not sure you’d be able (or want to) replicate my favourite smells but here they are: Freshly cut grass, that after rain smell, and leafmould. Weird, because I’m not particularly outdoorsy, but there you go. Creosote is also a high fourth – definitely not one for organicy smelly goodness!

Ohhh, that body butter picture looks delightful – I can almost feel it, and in a weird way, taste it. I promise I won’t eat if I win, but such creations always look “good enough to eat.” Since having a child, I’ve become a big fan of lavendar and chamomille scents. Paired together or separately they’re calm and soothing and I’ll admit that I use her my daughter’s products for myself because they smell so nice. My favorite candle smell this time of year is pomegranate cider, so I’d say that’s my number three scent.

My 3 favorite smells. I had to really think about this one. I love the smell right after it rains. Here on the east coast of VA it has a ting of saltwater to it. I love the smell of vanilla and last but not least is the smell of fall. Can you define that, I think it is the mix of leaves and cinnamon all mixed together. Maybe not what I would want to smell like personally but it is a wonderful smell.
Cool body butter. I like the smell of lavendar, lemon, roses.

For lotions and such, I love lavendar, ylang ylang, and cedarwood. (Nothing that smells like food!)
My skin is so dry – even with the humidifier running and a full water bottle – that if I could reach into the screen and grab that body butter, I would. It looks delectable!

I love the smell of hot bread, maybe with a little butter on top of it. I love the smell of rain, when it has just started and everything smells earthy, alive. I love a lot of different smells depending on the seasons. For summer I love the light smells of citrus (orange and lemon), that smell of the first of the moring air, and fresh spring strawberries. In the winter it is definately the winter spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and to get them all, chai, vanilla and coconut. Thanks for the chance to win!

I am always looking for natural lotions–my daughter’s got eczema pretty bad and so I always keep a lotion I make up on hand to grease her up with…would love to try yours! Hmm…my 3 favorite scents…cinnamon, the beach (vague, I know), and something fruity like pineapple or strawberries or both together like a really good fruit salsa! 😉

I love the scents of vanilla and rose together. Rose is actually the only flower scent I enjoy wearing. And I love it! Vanilla adds such homeyness. A third scent? Maybe apple. Or lemon. Or buttercream. Cake! Yes, that’s it… Cake!
